Karen has facilitated Acro Youth Camps in the school holidays since 2013. These camps provide positive experiences for a large number of young people for whom access normally would be cost-prohibitive. This is a no-cost project for participants. Acro camps start out with a weekend of activities to get to know each other then 4 days camping at Minjerribah (Stradbroke Island) and The Outlook, Boonah.
Responsibilities include:
- planning activities for city weekend
- planning and purchasing supplies within budget
- planning, facilitating and supervising camp activities
