Participants: refers to the people in the workshops or consultations. This is usually: the client’s service users but can also include the staff. Karen tailors the process to the needs of the participants and is experienced working with individuals, organisations and businesses of diverse cultural backgrounds, genders, age, socio-economic status and ability levels.

The client: refers to the individual, organisation or business that Karen is working with. Karen has worked with clients in the areas of youth services, drug and alcohol support services, sexual and domestic support services and crisis care accommodation. An individual client could be an artist, person running a small business, new enterprise or project.

Service user: refers to the people who access the service of the organisation or business. For example, young people accessing youth services and residential care, survivors for sexual violence to raise awareness about the issue.
